Issues relating to Sentry Golem mob are maintained on the bug tracker. Both the Sentry and Tracking Golems were made using the same design sheet, as OscarPayn had temporarily left the team during early development of the Aether II.

The only specifications for it were that it would be 2 blocks tall like the player and that it be 'scary'. First proposed by Kingbdogz to OscarPayn, the idea was originally for both the Sentry and Tracking Golems to be one single mob.Sentry Golems look identical to Tracking Golems except they glow permanently green instead of blue or red. They don't drop anything except Aether Coins unless Holystone Tools are used so defeating them is not worth it. They have a fair amount of health and rarely release Sentries so there is no need to defeat them. They can be escaped easily by running through them. They can be quite annoying if you do not disable their spawner as they will crowd around you because they follow you directly.Sentry Golems can be hurt by their own Sentry-projectiles and may regularly end up hurting themselves on occasion. Sentry Golems do not directly attack the player and instead throw Sentry-like explosives at the player, which do one-heart of damage each. They are often first encountered deeper in the maze than its blue relatives. Inside this chest you will find several items such as a Hammer of Notch, Valkyrie Lance, Phoenix Bow, Book of Lore Volume 1, Lightning Knives, Sentry Boots, and more. The only way to unlock it is with the Bronze Key that the boss drops. Below the doors, there is a Locked Chest. It will also reveal a set of four trap doors where it had been resting before you activated it. Once defeated, The Slider drops Carved Stone and a Bronze key. The Slider does 3 hearts of damage whenever it hits you, as well as bouncing you in the air normally causing another half-heart of fall damage. It attacks in its usual way, though, so simply keep circling like you were before. In The Slider 's second phase, the blue eyes turn red, and its movements increase in speed. After many, many hits, the boss will go into its second phase. With good timing, you will not receive any damage at all. A great tactic is to simply circle the enemy while hitting it with your weapon. The Bronze Dungeon is one of the three types of dungeons found in the Aether, and is considered the easiest one to conquer. Its bumps are powerful, and often times you will find yourself running from corner to corner of the room trying to get away from it. The Slider will attempt to crush you into walls, into the floor, or even into the ceiling.

In its first phase, this hulking terror appears with one, large, blue eye on each of the four sides of its body.

As well hitting it while it is already red from damage is wasteful as it does no damage but still damages whatever tool you are using. No matter what pickaxe you use, though, The Slider will take roughly 125 hits to kill. Sign in to edit View history Talk (0) ftb:Bronze Dungeon This page is a soft redirect.
